Cameron Crosby was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
A sophomore from South Lyon, Mich. (South Lyon), Crosby won his singles match against Washington University in Saint Louis' Colin Scruggs, ranked #24 nationally, as one of two points that Kalamazoo College men's tennis earned against the Bears in a second-round NCAA Tournament defeat.
Crosby won 6-1, 6-4 in the Hornets' 4-2 loss to end the season. This year, he earned MIAA MVP honors, was a two-time MIAA men's tennis Player of the Week, and went 20-7 in singles competition.
Kalamazoo men's tennis won the MIAA regular season and tournament title, going undefeated in conference play for the second consecutive year. The Hornets finished the season 15-6 overall.
