GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team lost, 4-2, against Washington University (Mo.) Saturday in the second round of the NCAA-III Tournament hosted by Denison University.
Kalamazoo entered the national tournament at #28 in the ITA Rankings, while WashU was #13.
The Bears won two doubles matches to take the point, then won 3 of 5 singles matches.
Cameron Crosby won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. Derek Blackwell won 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) at No. 3 singles to pick up a second point for the Hornets.
Sebastian Courtright and Haresh Anand both battled into the third set of their matches at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, before Courtright fell, 1-6, 7-5, 3-6 to end the match. Anand was 6-4, 2-6, 2-3 before his match was abandoned with the result decided.
Kalamazoo finishes the 2025-26 season 15-6. The Hornets went 7-0 in MIAA play before beating Trine and Hope in the conference tournament to win both the regular season and tournament championships.
