GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's outdoor track and field team posted several great performances at the Calvin Knight Invite on Saturday.
Zara Strauss won the javelin competition at 29.93m, a new personal best. Gwyneth Dunaway ran a 12.98 in the 100m prelims to make the final, where she finished third.
Nora O'Leary placed eighth out of 57 competitors in the 1500m at 4:56.97. Ava King finished seventh out of 47 runners in the 800m at 2:21.17, while Zenaida Sackett also earned a top-20 result in the 800m at 2:35.31.
Alyse Baughman placed 11th out of 25 throwers in discus at 29.03m.
Kalamazoo women's track and field will send Ava Bechler and Rachel Meston to the MIAA Outdoor Combined Events Championships Monday-Tuesday in Holland, Mich. The full team will be back in action next weekend at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet in Allendale, Mich.
