ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's outdoor track and field team collected several personal bests at the GVSU Al Owens Classic on Saturday.
Ava King (2:17.34) set both a personal best and the #85 time in DIII this season in the 800m, while Maddie Hanulcik (2:24.44) also PRed in the event. Sammie Carpentier ran a personal-best 29.60 in the 200m, and was also the Hornets' top finisher in the 100m hurdles at 18.06.
Nora O'Leary finished 33rd out of 84 runners in the 1500m at 4:55.86. Maya Alkema came in fourth out of eight in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:53.80.
Elise Elliot added another lifetime best for Kalamazoo in the 5000m at 18:58.21.
Kalamazoo women's track and field will split the team between the Hillsdale GINA Relays from Thursday through Saturday and the Calvin Invite on Saturday.
