Kalamazoo College earned two All-MIAA indoor track and field honors in the first season of the program's return, the conference announced Wednesday. Jack Schneider earned a place on the First Team, while Mason Jett was a Second Team honoree.
A sophomore distance runner from St. Louis, Mo. (Webster Groves), Schneider earned his spot by winning the 5000m at 14:58.93. That time also earned him a program record in the indoor 5000m.
Also a sophomore distance runner, from Ann Arbor, Mich. (Skyline), Jett finished second in the 800m with a time of 1:58.39 to claim his place on the all-conference team. His mark was good enough to be a Hornets indoor record as well.
Kalamazoo men's track and field finished seventh at the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Presented by Collegiate Credit Union. The Hornets will begin outdoor season at the Emory Spring Break Classic in Atlanta, Ga. on Friday-Saturday, March 20-21.
