ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's outdoor track and field team had its final tune-up before the MIAA Championship meet this weekend at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet.
Conner Brown set a new personal best in the 100m at 11.77. Elliott Anderson also ran a PR in the 110m hurdles at 16.11.
The Hornets earned a season best (22.45) by Aidan Paquin and an all-time best (22.98) by Jeremy Salomon in the 200m. Drew Abbott placed 10th out of 40 runners in the 800m at 1:58.90, also setting a PR.
Devin LaMar topped his previous best mark in the discus at 40.00m, along with setting a new PR in the shot put at 12.97m. Ethan Romey also had a personal best in the shot put, leading the Hornets at 13.01m.
In the 5000m, Gerardo Herrara-Sanchez ran a personal best time of 16:49.27.
Kalamazoo men's track and field returns to action for the MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, presented by Collegiate Credit Union, on Thursday and Friday, hosted by Hope College in Holland, Mich.
