St. Louis, Mo. – The Kalamazoo College men's outdoor track and field team competed at both the WashU Distance Carnival and SLU Speed/Power Festival on Thursday and Friday to wrap up the program's spring break competition.
At WashU, Henry Cox led the Hornets with a personal best in the 5000m at 15:29.06. Over at SLU, Ethan Romey notched a PR in the hammer throw at 34.80m.
In other action at the Speed/Power Festival, Devin Lamar threw a 12.75m mark in the shot put. Bram Derksen added a personal best time of 59.36 in the 400m hurdles.
Carson Cook finished third in the 800m at 1:59.76, a season best. Aidan Paquin put up a season-best long jump of 6.08m along with a PR in the 100m at 11.14, good for 13th out of 33 runners.
The Hornets' 4x100m relay team of Jeremy Salomon, Aidan Paquin, Mason Bengle and Jackson Janderwski posted a time of 44.85. The 4x400 relay of Salomon, Connor Brown, Cook and Mason Jett finished at 3:44.58.
Kalamazoo men's track and field will head to Allendale, Mich. for the GVSU Early Meet Friday-Saturday April 3-4, with events starting at noon on Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.
