INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Kalamazoo College diver
Zander Ligman qualified for the NCAA III Swimming and Diving Championships held March 18-21 at the IU Natatorium. Ligman competed on the 3-meter board on Wednesday, March 18, followed by the 1-meter on Friday, March 20.
3-Meter Diving – Wednesday, March 18
Ligman finished 17
th out of 24 divers on the 3-meter board during prelims on Wednesday, missing All-American honors and a chance to advance by one spot. Ligman finished with a score of 446.55.
1-Meter Diving – Friday, March 20
Ligman finished 22nd out of 24 divers on the 1-meter board during prelims on Friday, finishing with a score of 390.80.
Ligman is Kalamazoo's first diver to compete at the NCAA III Championships since Colin Grogan in 2018. Sam Ankley earned All-American honors in 2021, but no national championships were held that year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
