ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's indoor track and field team competed at the Bill Clinger Classic, hosted by Grand Valley State, Friday.
Ethan Romey placed 16th overall and second among NCAA-III athletes in the shot put at 12.97m, while Max Burg was just behind him at 20th overall at 12.83m.
Bram Derksen was the top DIII finisher and 19th overall in the 60m hurdles at 8.88, with Elliott Anderson setting a personal best in the same event at 8.99 for the second best DIII time at the meet (24th overall).
Aidan Paquin was the best of eight Hornets in the 200m, finishing 64th overall at 23.51. Jeremy Salomon was next for Kalamazoo at 23.77 in the 200m, and had the best 400m time for the team at 52.81 for 31st.
Kalamzoo men's indoor track and field will compete in two meets next weekend, traveling to Aquinas for the GR Sports Hall of Fame Classic on Friday (Jan. 30) at 5 p.m. and to Notre Dame for the Meyo Invite on Saturday (Jan. 31) at 10 a.m.
