ANGOLA, Ind. – The Kalamazoo College women's indoor track and field team competed at the Trine Sean Brady Invitational Saturday for its second competition of the season.
In track events, Ava King won the mile run at 5:20.85, while Maya Alkema was second at 5:25.82 and Allison Mayer finished fourth at 5:31.22. Gwyneth Dunaway won the 200m at 28.02, while Aelitta Kazarov finished third at 30.52.
Alkema also finished third in the 3000m at 10:52.70, while Nora O'Leary was just behind her at 10:53.62 for fourth place. The Hornets' 4x400m relay team of Annaliese Bol, Pauline Hawkes, Norah Reber and Grace Murphy came in third at 4:44.60.
In field events, Rachel Meston placed fourth in the long jump at 3.48m, and Zara Strauss finished sixth in the shot put at 9.84m.
Kalamazoo women's indoor track and field will head to Grand Valley State for the Bill Clinger Classic on Friday, with the meet getting underway at 1 p.m.
