Adnan Alousi of the Kalamazoo College men's tennis team was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, as announced on Tuesday, May 13
th.
To earn this honor, the student-athlete must be a starter or an important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and have played at least 90% or start in 66% of their team's competitions, and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
The men's tennis team wrapped up the 2025 season with an impressive 15-6 overall record, including a perfect 7-0 run in conference play. The Hornets claimed the top spot in the MIAA regular season standings, securing their 90th MIAA men's tennis championship.
They followed that up by winning the MIAA Tournament, earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.
Alousi, a senior from Huntington Woods, Mich. (International Academy), led the Hornets this season as he played primarily one singles and two doubles. He posted a 14-9 singles record (7-0 in MIAA) and went 17-8 (5-1 in MIAA) at two doubles.
A two-time MIAA Player of the Week this season, Alousi caps off a remarkable career as a four-time All-MIAA selection and a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree. He ends his collegiate run with a 58-24 career singles record and a 49-40 doubles record.
Alousi was also honored as the 2025 MIAA Most Valuable Player and received the prestigious Dr. Allen B. Stowe Memorial Award.
