Ivy Walker received MIAA Conference honors, as announced by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association on Wednesday, April 30
th.
Senior
Ivy Walker, from Traverse City, Mich. (Traverse City Central), was named the recipient of the Sue Little Sportsmanship Award.
The award, named in memory of 1954 Albion College graduate and conference singles champion Sue Little, is voted on by fellow tennis players and honors the individual who best exemplifies courtesy and sportsmanship on and off the court.
This season, Walker holds a 9-12 record in singles play and a 10-12 mark in doubles play with
Juliana Pullen. Additionally, Walker was the MIAA Player of the Week on April 14
th.
Over the course of her career, Walker compiled a 26–30 singles record and a 26–33 mark in doubles.
Freshman
Addison Lyons, from Fort Gratiot, Mich. (Port Huron Northern), was named to the All-MIAA First Team, becoming one of only two freshmen to receive the honor this season.
Lyons finished the season with a 13–7 record in singles (7–1 in MIAA play) and a 14–4 mark in doubles (6–2 in MIAA) partnering with
Daryn Krause and
Eleni Bougioukou.
Additionally, Lyons was named the MIAA Player of the Week on February 3
rd.
Sophomore
Juliana Pullen, from Ann Arbor, Mich. (Pioneer), earned her second career All-MIAA First Team honor for the 2024–25 season.
Playing at the top singles spot for the Hornets, Pullen posted a 13–8 overall record (7–1 in conference) and a 10–13 doubles record (5–3 in MIAA). She was named MIAA Player of the Week on March 24.
In her career, Pullen has a 25-15 record in one singles and a 22-26 mark in one doubles.
The Hornets are set to host Saint Mary's (Ind.) this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the second round of the MIAA Conference Tournament.
