Carson Cook was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Wednesday.
A sophomore from Brighton, Mich. (Hartland), Cook earned All-Region honors at the NCAA DIII Great Lakes Regional on Saturday, finishing with an 8k time of 25:43.3 to come across the line 27th out of over 250 runners. His performance helped Kalamazoo men's cross country finish 13th out of 37 teams at the regional competition, a six-place jump after finishing 19th last season.
Cook also earned a spot on the All-MIAA Second Team with a personal-best 25:35 8k time at the MIAA Championships on Nov. 1 this year, establishing the 12th-fastest individual time in Hornet history.
