Six Kalamazoo College women's soccer players were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, announced on Tuesday, Nov. 19

Elle Bernas,
Lucy Cripe,
Sydney Hagaman,
Kate Klahorst,
Anni Schnell, and
Aly Kemery received the award this year.
To earn the distinction of CSC Academic All-District honors, the student-athlete must be a sophomore, achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and appear in 90% of the team's games, or start within 66% of the team's games.
Elle Bernas, a junior forward from Grosse Pointe, Mich. (Grosse Pointe), started all 17 games for the Hornets, recording 1402 minutes of playing time. Bernas recorded two goals this season against Greenville and Alma, to increase her career goals to 10. Bernas tallied 33 shots with 15 shots on goal this season, shooting .455% (SOG).
Senior,
Lucy Cripe, a defender from Midland, Mich. (Midland), started all 17 games this season playing a total of 1447 minutes. Cripe recorded her first career goal this season against Carthage on Sept. 14
th. She ends the 2024 season with one goal on two shots with one shot on goal.
Sydney Hagaman, a senior midfielder from Berkley, Mich. (Berkley), recorded 1224 minutes of playing time as she started all 17 games for the Hornets this year. Hagaman led Kalamazoo this season with five goals on 29 shots with 17 shots on goal, shooting .586%. Hagman recorded goals against Greenville, Beloit, Augustana (2), and Hope.
Sophomore,
Kate Klahorst, a sophomore defender from Grand Haven, Mich. (Grand Haven), played in 16 games this season recording 15 starts and 1152 minutes of playing time. Klahorst ends the 2024 season with three shots and two shots on goal.
Anni Schnell, a junior defender from Kalamazoo, Mich. (Loy Norrix), started in 16 games this season with a total of 1220 minutes of playing time. Schnell recorded 12 shots with four shots on goal this season, shooting .333% (SOG).
Junior midfielder/forward,
Aly Kemery from Kalamazoo, Mich. (Loy Norrix), played in 17 games this season with 13 starts and 1153 minutes on the field. Kemery recorded her first career goal against Beloit on Sept. 22
nd. Kemery ends the 2024 season with one goal on 13 shots with five shots on goal.
The Kalamazoo Hornets finished 5-11-1 overall, 2-5-1 in conference play.
