Men's Tennis Wins MIAA Tournament

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team defeated Hope 5-0 at Stowe Stadium on Saturday to win the MIAA Tournament and advance to the NCAA III Championships.

Kalamazoo won all three doubles matches before winning two singles matches to win the championship.

Tytus Metzler and Alex Cadigan won 8-2 at three doubles to lead things off. Daniel Henry and Ian Yi followed with an 8-6 win at one. Allen Vinson and Zack Ray completed the doubles sweep with an 8-5 win at two.

Cadigan was first off the court in singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win at six. Casey Johnson clinched the team win with a 6-1, 6-1 win at five.

The Hornets are now 13-6 overall and await pairings for the opening rounds of the NCAA III Championships.
