Men's Tennis Falls in Regional Final

BELLEVILLE, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team's season came to an end Saturday with a 5-0 loss to No. 7 Washington University in St. Louis in the third round of the NCAA III Championships.

The host Bears won all three doubles matches before winning two singles matches to win the regional final.

Alex Cadigan and Tytus Metzler lost narrowly (8-7) at three doubles.

Ian Yi lost the first set at one singles, but was leading the second set 5-3 when the match was decided. Tytus Metzler split sets at three singles.

Kalamazoo finishes the 2019 season with a 14-7 overall record.

Ian Yi will compete in the 32-player NCAA III Singles Championships May 24-26 in Kalamazoo.
