Men's Tennis Wins MIAA Championship

ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team won 9-0 at Alma on Wednesday to finish the conference regular season undefeated (7-0) as MIAA champions. It is the 85th conference championship in program history.

Kalamazoo did not lose a game in the three doubles matches and lost just four games throughout all six singles matches.

Ian Yi/Daniel Henry (1), Zack Ray/Allen Vinson (2), and Alex Cadigan/Tytus Metzler (3) won in doubles.

Yi (1), Henry (2), Metzler (3), Vinson (4), Casey Johnson (5), and Cadigan (6) won in singles. Yi, Metzler, Vinson, and Cadigan each won 6-0, 6-0 with Metzler winning the clinching match at No. 3.

Kalamazo (10-6 overall) finishes the regular season on Sunday, April 28 at Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Hornets are the top seed in the MIAA Tournament and will host a semifinal on Thursday, May 2.
