KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team swept Trine University 9-0 at home on Tuesday.

The match began outdoors at Stowe Stadium, but rain began to fall during doubles forcing play to move indoors.

David DeSimone and Elan Dantus made quick work with an 8-0 win at two doubles. Branden Metzler and Robert Hudson followed with an 8-6 win at one doubles while Spencer Navarre and Eric De Witt completed the sweep with an 8-5 win at three.

Hudson was the first off the court in singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win at three. DeSimone followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win at two before Metzler wrapped up a 6-3, 6-1 win at one.

Navarre won 6-1, 6-4 at four singles before Dantus and Alberto Ayala both won 6-0, 6-0 at five and six singles, respectively.

Kalamazoo improved to 10-5 (3-0 MIAA) with the win while Trine dropped to 8-5 (1-1 MIAA). The Hornets are off until April 16 when they travel to Calvin College.
