MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Kalamazoo College football team lost 32-20 at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday.

The host Warriors scored on its first play from scrimmage using a 73-yard touchdown pass.

Kalamazoo evend the score five minutes later when Dan Grost scored on a 6-yard touchdown reception. The Hornets took a 14-7 lead with 2:04 left in the first when quarterback Aaron McGuire ran 57 yards for the score.

Wisconsin Lutheran made it a 14-13 game with 7:40 left in the second quarter, but a failed extra point left Kalamazoo with the one point lead going into halftime.

Wisconsin Lutheran scored five minutes into the second half to go up 19-14, and another touchdown early in the fourth quarter gave the Warriors a 26-14 lead.

A 12-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Lenning with 9:32 left in the fourth put Kalamazoo within reach down 26-20, but a Wisconsin Lutheran touchdown two minutes later (7:35) put the Warriors up for good, 32-20.

Aaron McGuire was 24-of-36 passing for 227 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. McGuire also rushed for 120 yards on 24 carries.

Alex Dietrich led Kalamazoo with six catches for 82 yards while Cameron Shegos had six catches for 55 yards. K.J. Schultz had four catches for 46 yards.

Dylan Zerki led the Hornet defense with 16 total tackles. Austin McBee finished with eight while Quentin Sweeney had seven with one for loss.

Octavius Sanders had an interception while Connor Rzeznik, Nick Peters, and Alan Mencer were in on sacks.

Kalamazoo is off next week before hosting Benedictine (Ill.) on Oct. 4 at 1 p.m.
