Men's Tennis defeated 9-0 at Aquinas

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team fell 9-0 to National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) foe Aquinas Saturday, Feb. 8. 

Kalamazoo fell behind 3-0 after doubles, but almost took two of the doubles flights. Robert Hudson and Brandon Metzler fell 8-6 at first doubles while Alan Faber and Jeremy DePree lost at third doubles with the same score, 8-6.

Despite the sweep in singles, several flights were very competitive. Spencer Navarre fell in three sets at six singles by scores of 6-1, 4-6, 6-1. Mike Korn lost at third singles 6-4, 7-6(5) while Metzler and DePree lost close two-set matches at first and fourth singles.

Kalamazoo drops to 0-1 on the young season and returns to action Feb. 16 for a 2:00 p.m. match with UW-Whitewater.
