SWARTHMORE, Pa.– The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team lost at Swarthmore College on Sunday, 3-1.
The Hornets struck first in the third minute, as Simon Sawyer connected on a header off of a free kick from Dhrruv Naik. Kalamazoo carried that 1-0 lead through halftime.
Swarthmore came out firing in the second half, scoring twice in the 47th minute to take a 2-1 advantage. The Garnet notched another goal in the 62nd minute to finish off the scoring.
Both teams finished with 11 shots, while Swarthmore had a 5-3 margin in shots on goal. The Hornets had an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Brody Adalbert made two saves in goal for Kalamazoo.
Kalamazoo men's soccer comes back home to face Oberlin College on Friday at 3 p.m. for the team's first game of the season at MacKenzie Field.
