KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team tied Illinois Wesleyan University, 0-0, in its 2026 home opener Saturday at MacKenzie Field.
Neither team scored in the first half, with the Hornets notching four shots, with two on goal, to none for Illinois Wesleyan.
The defenses stayed sharp in the second half, with neither team able to break through for a goal. Both teams finished with eight shots, with Kalamazoo holding a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Jess Forbis made four saves to notch her first shutout of the season and 11th of her career with the Hornets. Anna Courtney led Kalamazoo with three shots, including two on goal.
Kalamazoo (1-1-1) heads back on the road for a matchup against Denison University (1-1) Sunday at noon.
