CHICAGO, Ill. – The Kalamazoo College volleyball team split a pair of five-set matches at North Park University on Saturday. Kalamazoo defeated Eastern in the morning before falling to Webster in the afternoon.
Kalamazoo vs. Eastern
Kalamazoo defeated Eastern in five sets Saturday morning, 21-25, 25-15, 25-22, 22-25, 15-8.
Quaneice Dillard led the Hornets with 20 kills and 18 digs.
Savannah Chapie had 16 kills with zero errors in 28 attempts for a .571 hitting percentage.
Taylor Stephens added 11 kills with 18 digs.
Mya Parks had nine kills.
Makala Goddard had a team-high 53 assists.
Ashley Zollman led the defense with 25 digs.
Kalamazoo vs. Webster
Webster defeated Kalamazoo in five sets Saturday afternoon, 22-25, 25-20, 17-25, 25-18, 15-11.
Webster hit .230 in the match compared to .215 by Kalamazoo.
Quaneice Dillard led Kalamazoo again with 17 kills.
Taylor Stephens had 13 kills and 17 digs,
Savannah Chapie and
Cienna Nightingale each finished with 10 kills in the match.
Mya Parks added nine.
Bella Lewis had a team-high 25 assists.
Makala Goddard had 23 assists with eight digs.
Ashley Zollman had a team-high 20 digs.
