NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Kalamazoo College softball team swept a doubleheader at Saint Mary's College Friday night 4-0 and 6-3.
Game One
Kalamazoo scored one run in the first and three in the second en route to a 4-0 win in the opener over Saint Mary's.
London Rabb went 3-for-4 with a triple, run scored and an RBI in the leadoff spot.
Maddie Potts singled and drove in two runs.
Alyssa Hinkley also had a hit and an RBI.
Potts went the distance in the circle scattering four hits in the shutout, striking out three and walking two.
Game Two
Saint Mary's scored the first run of the game in the top of the second before Kalamazoo scored at least one run in each of the next five innings to take a 6-1 lead after six. Saint Mary's scored twice in the top of the seventh and had a runner on third when the Hornets ended the game with the win.
Kalamazoo had 11 hits in the game led by
Landrie Fridsma and
Emma Newlove with three apiece. Fridsma had a double and scored twice. Newlove doubled twice, scored twice and drove in two runs.
London Rabb had two hits with two runs scored.
Grace Rocco also had a pair of hits.
Elizabeth Jones earned the win in the circle allowing three runs on eight hits.
