WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team won, 15-5, at Carroll University Saturday.
The Hornets took a 3-1 lead after the first quarter, and pushed the advantage to 6-1 at halftime.
Kalamazoo heated up offensively in the second half, scoring four goals in the third quarter and five in the fourth to secure the victory.
Dylan Adkins led the Hornets with three goals and three assists for six points. Jake Asnis had three goals with one assist, three ground balls and a caused turnover.
Max Plesscher and Teige Bredin scored three goals each, while Ronin Honda added a goal and an assist. Tate Bless led Kalamazoo with four ground balls and scored a goal.
Jack Bungart led the defensive effort with two caused turnovers and three ground balls. Tony Valade made 16 saves for an 80.0% save percentage in the win.
Kalamazoo men's lacrosse (5-4, 1-0) returns home to face Adrian College (2-7, 0-0) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at MacKenzie Field. It will be the Hornets' Compete for a Cause game.
