Men's Lacrosse Defeats Adrian in Double Overtime

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team improved to 2-0 in the MIAA with a 10-9 win in double overtime over Adrian College at home Wednesday night.

Kalamazoo scored the first goal of the game but trailed 5-3 at the end of the first quarter. Adrian led 7-6 at halftime. Kalamazoo pulled ahead 9-8 at the end of three. The visiting Bulldogs scored the only goal of the fourth quarter with 10:06 remaining. Despite shot opportunities by both teams, neither team was able to score in the final 10 minutes of regulation or the first overtime period of four minutes. Kalamazoo's Dylan Adkins scored the game-winner with 2:48 left in the second overtime period.

Each team had 43 shots in the game with Kalamazoo holding a 24-22 edge in shots on goal. Kalamazoo won 12 of the 22 face offs.

Teige Bredin led Kalamazoo with four goals.

Max Plesscher scored two goals with two assists. Tate Bless had a goal, two assists and three ground balls.

Jack Bungart was credited with four ground balls and two caused turnovers. Tony Valade made 12 saves in goal.

Kalamazoo returns to action at Hope on Saturday, April 4, at 1 p.m.
