CLERMONT, Fla. – The Kalamazoo College softball team dropped a pair of games to UW-La Crosse and Wooster on Friday.
Game 1 - UW-La Crosse 8, Kalamazoo 4
Kalamazoo trailed 4-0 after the second inning before putting a pair of runs on the board in the top of the third highlighted by
Grace Rocco's 2-run double. La Crosse answered with two more in the bottom half to go up 6-2. Kalamazoo made it 6-4 with a pair of runs in the top of the fifth but could not get any closer as La Crosse scored two more in the bottom of the sixth.
Grace Rocco had three of Kalamazoo's eight hits including a pair of doubles and three RBIs.
Ella Neumann had two hits.
Macy Ward singled, walked twice and scored a pair of runs in the leadoff spot.
Game 2 – Wooster 4, Kalamazoo 0
Wooster scored a run in the first, one in the third and two in the fourth en route to a 4-0 win Friday afternoon.
Wooster put eight hits on the board while limiting Kalamazoo to four.
