Kalamazoo College's Juliana Pullen was named MIAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week Monday.
A junior from Ann Arbor, Mich. (Pioneer), Pullen went 2-0 in both singles and doubles play this weekend, helping the Hornets defeat Wheaton College and earning Kalamazoo's only point against #32 Denison University.
Pullen paired with Addison Lyons for two 6-4 victories at one doubles, as the duo moved to 7-1 on the season with their only loss coming against #1 Washington University (Mo.). In singles, Pullen won 6-3, 6-2 at Wheaton Saturday and won 6-1, 6-3 against Denison on Sunday, both at number one.
This is the second consecutive week that Pullen has won MIAA Player of the Week honors (2/23/26) and the fifth time she has earned the award in her career (3/24/25, 4/8/24, 2/12/24).
Kalamazoo women's tennis has finished the winter portion of the schedule and will resume play on Friday, March 20 against Scranton in Orlando, Fla. at the USTA National Campus.
