Troy Richard was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
A freshman from Grosse Pointe, Mich. (Grosse Pointe South), Richard won the 1m dive and finished second in the 3m dive at the MIAA Championships Presented by Collegiate Credit Union this past weekend.
Richard scored a 486.70 on the 1m dive to earn the conference championship on Thursday, the scored a 497.45 in the 3m dive Friday, finishing as the runner-up to teammate Zander Ligman.
His performance at the conference championship meet also earned Richard MIAA Men's Diver of the Week honors (2/23/26).
Kalamazoo men's swimming and diving will have its divers competing at home this weekend as the Hornets host the NCAA-DIII Diving Regionals on Friday starting at 2 p.m. and Saturday starting at 12 p.m. at the Kalamazoo College Natatorium.
