Daryn Krause was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
A sophomore from Sylvan Lake, Mich. (Cranbrook Kingswood), Krause went 1-1 this week in both singles and doubles play and helped Kalamazoo College women's tennis defeat DePauw University for the first time in program history.
Krause, a MIAA Academic Honor Roll member and ITA Scholar-Athlete last season, battled against #1 Washington University (Mo.) on Saturday. Then, she and Eleni Bougioukou beat DePauw's #2 doubles team, 6-3, and Krause won again at #5 singles, 7-6, 6-4, to secure the victory for the Hornets.
Kalamazoo women's tennis is back on the court on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Ohio Northern at 4 p.m.
