CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team was defeated 7-0 by Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) Saturday evening. The host Bears are the defending national champions and are currently ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division III.
WashU won all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point before winning all six singles matches in straight sets.

Juliana Pullen were defeated 6-2 at one doubles.
Lyons had the closest singles match, a 6-4, 6-4 loss at number two. Pullen was defeated 6-1, 6-4 at number one.
Kalamazoo (2-1) is back in action Sunday afternoon with a 2 p.m. match at DePauw University.
