WOOSTER, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team was defeated 63-47 at the College of Wooster on Monday.

Kalamazoo led 19-9 after the first quarter before being outscored 27-8 in the second to trail 36-27 at halftime. The host Scots outscored Kalamazoo 18-11 in the third before a 9-9 fourth led to the 63-47 final.

Wooster shot 33.8 percent from the field compared to 32.1 percent by Kalamazoo. Wooster sank eight 3-pointers compared to three by the Hornets. Wooster held a 42-38 advantage in rebounds including 26-11 on the offensive end.

Ruby Hogan led Kalamazoo with 21 points, seven rebounds, three blocked shots, two assists and two steals.

Taylor Dinda added 14 points with two steals. Lauren Vanderstelt scored four points with 10 rebounds and three blocked shots. Semaj' Robertson added five points off the bench.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Adrian in conference play on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 7 p.m.
