OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost, 95-68, at The University of Olivet Saturday.
Olivet took a 41-34 lead at halftime, shooting 50.0% from the field and 53.8% from three-point range. The Hornets shot 35.3% from the field, 33.3% from deep and had a 15-11 advantage in rebounds after the first half.
The Comets continued their strong shooting performance in the second half, finishing the game at 54.3% from the field and 48.4% for three. Kalamazoo finished at 32.3% from the field and 35.3% on three-point shots, outrebounding Olivet 38-37.
Lucas Hanifan led the Hornets in scoring with 19 points, five rebounds and three assists. Carter Bandemer scored 10 points with a team-high six rebounds.
Gavin Van Kampen and Jackson Keefer both scored nine points off the bench, with Keefer chipping in five rebounds.
Kalamazoo men's basketball (3-12, 0-4 MIAA) comes back home to play Hope (9-6, 4-0) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
