GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team was defeated 64-45 at Calvin University Wednesday evening.
Calvin led 20-8 after the first quarter and 36-19 at halftime. The Knights outscored Kalamazoo 18-12 in the third before Kalamazoo held a 14-10 advantage in the fourth.
Calvin shot 41.3 percent overall compared to 34.0 percent by Kalamazoo. The Hornets held a 39-38 edge in rebounds.
Taylor Dinda led Kalamazoo with 12 points.
Ruby Hogan finished with 10 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Lauren Vanderstelt added eight points with seven rebounds and two blocked shots.
Semaj' Robertson scored six points, while
Sophia Moir scored five points with five rebounds.
Kalamazoo returns home to face The University of Olivet on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m.
