Allison Mayer was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Council) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.

A sophomore from Ann Arbor, Mich. (Skyline), Mayer was the fourth-place finisher for the Hornets at Wheaton's Gil Dodds Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 20. Mayer passed several runners in the last mile and helped the Hornets finish fourth out of 18 teams at the event.

Mayer's 6K time of 23:29 was a career best and a 54-second drop from last week at the Spartan Invite.

The Kalamazoo College cross country teams are back in action Oct. 4 at the Louisville Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Ky.
