ELMHURST, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team was defeated for the first time this season, falling 1-0 at Elmhurst University Wednesday night.

The host Blue Jays, also now 6-1-1 on the season, scored the game's only goal in the eighth minute of the contest.

Elmhurst outshot Kalamazoo 10-6 overall, 5-3 on goal. Kalamazoo held a 5-4 edge in corner kick opportunities.

Simmy Magnan and Jess Forbis were each credited with two saves in goal.

Kalamazoo returns to action Saturday, Sept. 20, at Wooster before hosting No. 6 Chicago on Sunday at 3 p.m.
