Lucas Hanifan was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Council) Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.

A senior wide receiver/returner from Chelsea, Mich. (Chelsea), Hanifan had eight catches for 164 yards and two touchdowns in Kalamazoo's 50-7 win over Bethany College in the Hornets' home opener last Saturday. 

All of Hanifan's statistics came in the first half as the Hornets built up a 43-7 lead at halftime, and Hanifan did not play a snap in the second half.

On the season, Hanifan leads the Hornets with 16 receptions for 285 yards with three touchdowns.

Kalamazoo is back in action at home on Saturday, Sept. 20, when the Hornets host Anderson University at 6 p.m.
