Baseball Drops Series Opener at Alma

ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team lost the series opener at Alma 4-1 on Friday.

The host Scots scored a run in the first, third, seventh and eighth innings to take a 4-0 lead into the ninth. Alex DiDio's double with two outs in the ninth drove in Kalamazoo's only run.

Alma outhit Kalamazoo 10-6. DiDio's double was Kalamazoo's only extra base hit.

The two teams are scheduled to complete the series with a doubleheader in Kalamazoo on Saturday, May 3, beginning at 1 p.m.
