Kalamazoo, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team defeated Alma 14-2 on Thursday night. The Hornets improve to 6-2 on the season and 1-0 in MIAA conference play.
Kalamazoo jumped out to an early 9-1 lead by halftime and continued to dominate in the second half, outscoring Alma 5-1 to secure a 14-2 victory.
The Hornets controlled the game across the board, outshooting Alma 51-14, collecting 60 ground balls to Alma's 23, and winning 12 of 18 faceoffs. Defensively, Kalamazoo forced 34 turnovers

Mitchel VanGalder led the Hornets' offense with five goals, four ground balls, and one caused turnover.
Dylan Adkins followed with three goals, two assists, and three ground balls.
Logan Gillis added two goals and picked up a team-high six ground balls. With three points on the night, Gillis also became the program's all-time leader in career points, reaching 142.
Cam VanGalder,
Grayson Pratt,
Teige Bredin, and
Martin Welles each found the back of the net for the Hornets. VanGalder aadded two assists and three ground balls, while Welles recorded four ground balls.
Defensively,
Jack Bungart had a team-high of five caused turnovers and six ground balls, while
Colby Skinner and
Brody Quinn each recorded five ground balls.
Charles Graves earned the win in the net for the Hornets with two saves.

th, as they take on Albion at 1:00 p.m.
