Albion, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team falls short against Albion on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Britons 11-10. With the loss, the Hornets drop to 2-11 overall and 1-3 in MIAA Conference play.
Albion jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the first period. While the Hornets outscored them in the second period 4-3, the Britons still held the advantage 8-6 heading into halftime. The Hornets battled back in the second half, outscoring the Britons 4-3, but they could not complete the comeback.
The Hornets held a slight advantage in ground balls (18-16), draw controls (13-11), and shots (33-32).
Ella Spooner led the Hornets' offense with four goals, one ground ball, and one draw control, while
Jordan Doyle contributed two goals and one assist.

Sophie Hartl,
Tessa Fuller, and
Kennedy Hynde all found the back of the net for Kalamazoo. Fuller recorded a team-high of two assists, while Hynde had a team-high of six draw controls and three ground balls, followed by Kozal with three draw controls.
Goalkeeper
Jordan Flink recorded 10 saves and three ground balls but took the loss, moving to 1-8 on the season.
The Hornets return to action on Wednesday, April 16
th, as they host St. Mary's (Ind.) at 7:00 p.m.
