KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team falls to Alma 70-57 on Wednesday night. The Hornets drop to 9-13 overall and 2-9 in MIAA Conference play.
Kalamazoo led 27-24 heading into halftime. Late in the second half, Alma secured a victory with a 14-0 run to take a 62-48 lead with just under three minutes to play. The Scots shot 41.5% from the field, 31.3% behind the arc, and 50% on the line, while The Hornets shot 31.8%, 19.2%, and 43.5% respectively.
Defensively, Kalamazoo forced 14 turnovers, swiping nine steals and converting them into 14 points.
Bradley Eziuka led the Hornets with his first double-double of the season, posting 16 points and 11 rebounds.
DJ Ferguson contributed 11 points on 5-12 shooting.
Lukas Broadsword controlled the boards, hauling in a team-high of 12 rebounds along with nine points, and four assists.
Nelson Sompa added eight points and three assists.
Kalamazoo travels to Grand Rapids, Mich. on Saturday afternoon to take on Calvin at 3 p.m.
