ANGOLA, Ind. – The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team fell 65-46 at No. 17 Trine University Saturday afternoon.
After a 12-12 first quarter, Trine used a 12-2 run to start the second and a 14-1 run to end it and took a 38-16 lead into halftime.
Kalamazoo outscored Trine 13-12 in the third and 17-15 in the fourth.
The host Thunder shot 38.5 percent overall while limiting Kalamazoo to 26.5 percent. Trine sank 21-of-30 free throw attempt compared to 11-of-22 by the Hornets.
Semaj' Robertson led Kalamazoo with 11 points and three assists while making 3-of-6 3-pointers.
Elisabeth Wilks scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting off the bench.
Ruby Hogan scored five points with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Sophia Moir also scored five points.
Lauren Vanderstelt finished with three points, seven rebounds and six blocked shots.
Kalamazoo returns home to face Oberlin College in non-conference play on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m.
