KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost, 57-51, against Oberlin College Wednesday at Anderson Athletic Center.
After a 20-4 deficit at the end of the first quarter, the Hornets used a 17-0 run to get back in the game, outscoring the Yeowomen 19-8 in the second.
Kalamazoo pulled even, 41-41, heading to the fourth quarter by outscoring Oberlin 18-13 in the third. The Yeowomen used a 17-11 final frame advantage to take the victory.
Lauren Vanderstelt (18 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks) and Ruby Hogan (14 points, 19 rebounds, six assists, three steals) both earned double-doubles for the Hornets.
Brittany Miller added nine points and five rebounds, and Josee Cooke picked up three points, four rebounds and two blocks.
Kalamazoo returns to MIAA action at home against #9 Hope Saturday at 1 p.m. at Anderson Athletic Center.
