ATLANTA - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team was defeated 70-44 at Oglethorpe University Thursday afternoon.
The host Stormy Petrels shot 40.4 percent overall while sinking 19-of-25 free throws. Kalamazoo shot 32.7 percent and made 6-of-12 free throws. The Hornets held a 40-34 advantage in rebounds, including 11-6 on the offensive end.Â
Ruby Hogan led Kalamazoo with 13 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Lauren Vanderstelt finished with six points and seven rebounds.
Semaj' Robertson and
Josee Cooke each scored five points.
Kalamazoo is off until Jan. 5 when the Hornets travel to Wooster for a 4 p.m. contest.
