KALAMAZOO, Mich - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team earned a 3–1 win over Alma on Wednesday night inside Anderson Athletic Center, posting set scores of 25–19, 18–25, 27–25, and 25–23.
Kalamazoo hit .126 as a team while Alma finished at .139.
Brittany Miller led the Hornets with 13 kills and three blocks, while Savannah Chapie added eight kills and hit .421. Scarlett Hosner and Taylor Stephens each totaled nine kills, and Mya Parks contributed five kills with five blocks.
Makala Goddard recorded 31 assists and two aces, while Bella Lewis added 18 assists and two aces. Rachel Meston anchored the defense with 16 digs, followed by Miller with 13.
Kalamazoo finished the night with 12 service aces and 10 team blocks compared to four aces and seven team blocks by Alma.
The Hornets (9–10, 1–2 MIAA) return to action Friday, Oct. 10, when they host Wheaton at 7 p.m. inside Anderson Athletic Center.
