The Kalamazoo College volleyball team dropped a 3–1 match to Wheaton (Ill.) on Friday night inside Anderson Athletic Center, with set scores of 25–21, 13–25, 22–25, and 19–25.
Kalamazoo hit .106 as a team while Wheaton finished at .279.
Brittany Miller led the Hornets with eight kills while hitting .400. Juliette Bournay also tallied eight kills, and Savannah Chapie added seven kills along with three blocks. Mya Parks contributed six kills and one ace. Quaneice Dillard and Scarlett Hosner each had five kills.
Makala Goddard recorded 24 assists and three aces, while Bella Lewis added 10 assists. Rachel Meston led the defense with 10 digs, and Miller matched that total.
Ashley Zollman served three aces, and Meston and Miller each added two as Kalamazoo finished the night with 11 service aces and four team blocks.
The Hornets (9–11, 1–2 MIAA) return to action Saturday, Oct. 11, when they host Carthage at 1 p.m. inside Anderson Athletic Center.
