Women's Soccer Moves to 3-0 in MIAA After Dominant Win Over Olivet

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team rolled over Olivet Wednesday at MacKenzie Field, 7-0. With the win, the Hornets' record moves to 9-3-1 (3-0 MIAA), while Olivet sits at 2-10-0 (0-3 MIAA).

Mia Crites got the scoring going in the 13th minute for her third goal of the season.

In the 32nd minute, Madie Miller also notched her third goal this year. Kearsten Schultz added a score in the 39th minute, assisted by Maeve Nolan, to make it 3-0 Kalamazoo at halftime.

Elle Burnas got in on the scoring with goals in the 51st and 62nd minutes. Her second goal was assisted by Ruby Hogan.

The Hornets scored again as Maggie Westra found the back of the net in the 74th minute. In the 90th minute, Anna Courtney finished the scoring with a goal, assisted by Kate Klahorst.

Kalamazoo outshot Olivet 38-1 overall in the match and 26-1 in shots on goal. Jess Forbis made one save to earn her seventh shutout of the season.

The Hornets travel to Alma (for their next contest on Saturday at 3 p.m.
