ALMA, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team tied at Alma College on Saturday, 1-1. The Hornets' record now stands at 9-3-2 (3-0-1 MIAA), while Alma sits at 2-13-1 (0-3-1 MIAA).
Ruby Hogan, the reigning MIAA Offensive Player of the Week, stayed hot with a goal in the 39th minute to put the Hornets on top. Lexi Gross assisted on the opening goal by Hogan.
Alma answered with a goal in the 44th minute to tie it 1-1.
Kalamazoo outshot Alma 10-5 overall and 5-3 in shots on goal. Jess Forbis made two saves.
The Hornets come back home to face Albion on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. for Senior Night at MacKenzie Field.
