ADRIAN, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team took down Adrian College on the road Saturday, 2-1. The Hornets improved to 8-3-1 (2-0 MIAA) with the win, while Adrian fell to 3-7-1 (0-1 MIAA).
Ruby Hogan scored on the first shot of the game off of a free kick in the fifth minute to put Kalamazoo on top 1-0.
The Bulldogs answered with a goal in the 44th minute to make the score 1-1 at the half.
Hogan scored again on a penalty kick to give the Hornets the lead back in the 58th minute, and Kalamazoo's defense did the rest.
Jess Forbis made three saves in the win as both teams finished with 11 shots, four on goal.
The Hornets return to the field Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. against The University of Olivet at MacKenzie Field for the Compete for a Cause Game.
