The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team will host Albion in the first round of the MIAA Tournament on Saturday (Nov. 1) at 12:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Field. The Hornets earned the No. 4 seed with a 3-2-3 record in conference play, along with a 9-5-4 overall record, while the Britons went 3-3-2 in MIAA action and 10-4-2 overall to take the No. 5 seed.

The Hornets were led this season on offense by junior Ruby Hogan, with nine goals and four assists, and senior Elle Bernas, with eight goals and one assist. Junior Izzy Kastel and freshman Lexi Gross helped anchor the defense in front of sophomore goaltender Jess Forbis, who earned an 8-4-3 record, seven shutouts, a 1.16 goals-against average and .793 save percentage.
Kalamazoo and Albion played to a 1-1 tie on Oct. 14 this season, with Hogan scoring the Hornets' goal.
The winner of Saturday's contest will advance to play at regular season MIAA Champion Calvin on Tuesday (Nov. 4) at 7 p.m.
